With God\u2019s Blessing, amid the COVID 19 pandemic that is still raging our country and around the \nworld, Rutgers WPF Indonesia is humbly launching \u201cRutgers Media Fellowship 2021\u201d Program.<\/p>\n\n
The main objectives of the program are to increase the awareness of journalists from national, \nsub-national and community-based media platforms of various Youth Sexual Reproductive Health and \nRights (SRHR) issues. \n \nThe program will also intend to provide journalists with bigger pictures of the close linkages between \nYouth, SRHR, Family Planning, National Health and Development Programs.<\/p>\n\n
Rutgers WPF Indonesia is an organization, which focuses on SRHR and the prevention of any forms of \nGender-Based Violence (GBV).<\/p>\n\n
\u201cRutgers Media Fellowship 2021,\u201d is part of a series of Scientific Discussion Forum on Family Planning \nand Reproduction health to be held from June 28 through June 30, 2021. Meanwhile, the Fellowship \nprogram will continue from June 2021 through December 2021.<\/p>\n\n
We would like to congratulate all journalists who are selected to participate in this program.<\/p>\n\n
We would like to announce the ten recipients of the Rutgers Media Fellowship Program 202I namely: Adhitya Ramadhan (Kompas), Ferdian Ananda (Media Indonesia), Tertiani Simanjuntak (The Jakarta Post), Aditya Putrie (Tirto.id), Ni Nyoman Suryaningsih (DENPOST.ID), Ari Suryanto (Radar Lampung), Nurul Hidayati (Lombok Post), Bagus Supriyadi (KuasaRakyat.com), Tabayyun Pasinringi (Magdelene), dan Fadia Alaidrus (Project Multatuli).<\/p>\n\n
Amala Rahmah, Country Representative of Rutgers WPF Indonesia, said: \u201cKnowledge is Power.\u201d \n \n\u201cWe realize the mass media has excellent power to bring significant change to the world. When it is \nmobilized by young people, it will undoubtedly have tremendous results for the good of our future \ngeneration,\u201d added Amala<\/p>\n\n
Amala noted that Rutgers Indonesia brought together young researchers\/scientists, journalists and young SRHR activities to build a solid bridge to enable them to become \u201csocial changers.\u201d <\/p>\n\n
\u201cWe are hoping that this is not just a forum or an event. Beyond that, it is expected to create a robust \nand lifelong learning platform for the entire youth stakeholders to translate and to disseminate knowledge and research\u2019s outcomes on SRHR to wider audience inclusively in clear, simple and accurate language.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
Rutgers Indonesia will strongly commit to accompany young people in Indonesia to learn and to understand the essence of SRHR and Gender Justice in the next five years through its programs such as PowertoYouth, Generation Gender and Right Here Right Now II, which will continue through the year 2025.<\/p>\n\n
Meanwhile, \u201cRutgers Media Fellowship 2021,\u201d is the continuation of our Media Fellowship 2019 Program, which was held in line with the International Conference of Indonesian Family Planning and Reproductive Health (ICIFPRH) 2019 in Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n
We are hoping the Rutgers Media Fellowship 2021 Program will continue to enhance the capacity of our journalists on SRHR issues and to strengthen our relationship with the national, sub-national and community-based media in working together as partners of development.<\/span>
